Work and Wellbeing Day 2024

WayfinderWoman are proud to present their third Work and Wellbeing Day where you’ll discover:  Employment Advice  |  Latest thinking on the impact of AI and tech on work PLUS  information on wellbeing goods and services

Open to all, 2024 will be bigger and better than before. We’re taking over the whole of the Sovereign Harbour Community Centre, based at the Innovation Park, Eastbourne and opposite the Crumbles retail park. There’s plenty of parking and the venue is fully accessible. And it’s free!

In our Wellbeing Hall, sponsored by The Dental Barn, we have up to 38 small traders providing information, goods and services to help you maintain and improve your physical and mental health. Get there early and book a 15 min slot with practitioners ranging from Reiki to head massage and ear accupuncture. Or indulge ourself and purchase one of the many handmade items on display. To see who's displaying their wares go to WayfinderWoman

In our Speaker Hall, sponsored by PRG Marketing and Communications, look at what AI and tech really means for employers and employees, for future jobs. We start with our headline speaker, Prof Julia Weeds from Sussex University who specialises in AI and lingistics. We know there’s a shortage of tech savvy people so there’s lots of potential. How do we take advantage of that and, conversely, with predictions that whole professions will be taken over by technology and AI, what should we do as employers or employees to protect ourselves? Our speakers will cover a wide range of topics and for the full speaker list go to WayfinderWoman.

In our Employer space, sponsored by Angela Marden Estate Agents, talk to staff from the Job Centre and other employers who may be there. Get advice about your CVs and career choices. Take our free assessment of your character strengths.

Or just drop in to our refreshment space sponsored by Lightning Fibre for a cup of coffee and some refreshments with lovely cakes made by our volunteers. A great choice at very little cost.

And remember to bring cash to be kind to our small traders and to sample our delicious cakes!
